Since day one Guerriero Gelato products have been homemade and hand packed using age old gelato making techniques and modern flavor profiles.
Guerriero, formally known as Gelotti, started in historic Paterson, NJ. Owners Mike and Breanna Guerriero have been running the shop since 2013 taking over from the Sigona Family and their management. From 2013 to 2019 they spent their time building an experience that was true to the wonderful customers and community in Caldwell & Montclair.
In 2018 Mike traveled to California and became the first American Born Chef to ever Win a Gelato Festival Stage internationally and qualified for the finals in Miami.
In 2019 Mike defied the odds and beat out 11 of the top chefs in North America, and became and youngest and only American Born Chef to win a Gelato Festival Finals. Mike will represent the United States and wear our flag in Italy at the 2021 World Masters competition where 36 chefs from 22 countries will battle for Best Ice Cream in the World!
In 2019 after Food Network, ESPN, 33 Awards in 2018, Mike and Bre decided to split off from the main brand and rebrand their 3 shops. This opens the door to new possibilities like a full baking line, homemade cookies for their ice cream sandwiches, and much more!
