Food pantries all across northern New Jersey are looking for volunteers and food donations for Thanksgiving. Interfaith Food Pantry of the Oranges

Take part in ThankServing 2018; donate food, drop off new and gently used coats at various local locations, and sign up in advance to volunteer for the hot Thanksgiving luncheon on November 17. Help CFA put Thanksgiving dinner on the table for 3,000 local families! Make a monetary donation online, over the phone, or through the mail. Their most needed Thanksgiving food items include supermarket gift cards, frozen turkeys, soups, canned vegetables and yams, gravy, instant potatoes, stuffing, and baking mix. Human Needs Food Pantry

Donating Thanksgiving food items including turkeys, canned vegetables (corn, green beans, etc), canned sweet potatoes, packaged gravy (no glass jars please), stuffing, canned fruit, etc. Anything you would put on your table for the holiday would be appreciated!

They would like to have all holiday food donations by Saturday, November 17 if possible. Drop off any Tuesday or Thursday between 8:30 am and noon. They will be open extra days and hours to accept donations as follows: Friday, 11/16, 8am until 1:30 pm; Saturday, 11/17, 8am until 1:30pm; and Sunday, 11/18, 8:30am until 3pm.

Community FoodBank of New Jersey

The food bank's Turkey Drive 2018 features drop-sites all around New Jersey. Donating frozen turkeys or hams; gravy, cranberry sauce, and stuffing; canned vegetables; fruits; and more! Can't make it to the drop off? Donate online!

The pantry's Thanksgiving Basket Program 2018 help neighbors in need! They are now accepting turkeys and other Thanksgiving food items now, to give families what they need to make a holiday meal. Needed items include turkey, large chickens and ham; canned pumpkin; stuffing; Parmalat or powdered milk; instant mashed potatoes; apple, cranberry or other 100% juice; turkey gravy; soups; and much more!

MEND (Meeting Essential Needs with Dignity)

Location: The Pingry School (Lower School Campus) and Kings Food Market in Short Hills

MEND will hold a Thanksgiving edition of their "Stuff the Bean" fundraiser. Drop off frozen turkeys to donate at two locations on Wednesday, November 14th. They will be collecting donated frozen turkeys from The Pingry School (Lower School Campus) and Kings Food Market in Short Hills, and then distributing them to their food pantry managers.
