Since its founding in 1978, the concept behind Hank Lane Music has been to make sure that clients enjoy music performed the way it should sound as they celebrate their own weddings or other private personal, corporate, or charitable events.
Working exclusively with only the top talent in the industry, every Hank Lane band possesses a special blend of youth, elegance, and excitement. All of the bands are unique, yet equally adept in all styles of music including Contemporary, Top 40, Rock, Motown, Rhythm & Blues, Swing, Big Band, Ballroom, Jazz, Disco, Hip Hop, and Classical.
“However, we are not just bands,” says Livingston resident Ian Magid, co-owner of Hank Lane Music for 23 years. “Our entertainment family includes so much more— with a goal of helping clients to create an entertainment experience for their guests—we’ve recruited some of the most in-demand DJs and party entertainers around.” Magid adds,
“Clients can find everything from professional party dancers to comedians to celebrity entertainers and more. And to ensure every party looks like a true celebration there is an entire inventory of custom lighting, staging and sound equipment available for clients.”
Hank Lane Music can also hire A-list celebrities for events. “We’ve hired Ellen DeGeneres, Sheryl Crow, Lionel Richie, Quest Love, Max Weinberg, and others for show-stopping parties.” states Magid. ”We’ve been hired for some pretty high-end events—the nuptials for Bravo’s RHONY Bethanny Frankel, as well as Bravo’s “Summer House” for Kyle and Amanda, along with WWE’s Stephanie McMahon, MSNBC’s Jim Kramer, Regis Philbin’s daughter, newscaster Maurice Dubois, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, NBA star Carmelo Anthony, to name a few.”
Hank Lane Music handles events of all sizes and is a high level preferred vendor for local venues including: Pleasantdale Chateau, The Crystal Plaza, The Grove, The Park Savoy, The Landmark Hospitality venues, The Park Chateau, Temple Emanuel Closter, Alpine CC, Rockleigh CC, as well as venues in Manhattan, Long Island, Connecticut, and Philadelphia.
Magid says he is glad live in-person events are back in the mainstream. He adds, “I love music, being around it, discussing it, hearing it live and on the radio, every day of my life, so being a part of this business is a dream come true for me. It is not work if you love what you do.”
“You only get one shot at a wedding, there is no redo. Music makes the party. So, you want to make sure you do it right. Using Hank Lane Music guarantees the odds of success,” exclaims Magid.
